First Baptist embraces the concept of stewardship. A steward is a manager on behalf of the owner. As individuals and as families, we confront how to better manage our time, talents and finances on behalf of the One who has bestowed these resources upon us. As a church, this is also our challenge and task.

We adopt our giving plan annually. First Baptist’s Council of Ministries (COM) develops the budget and recommends it to the congregation for modification and adoption. As individuals and as families, we set a goal for our giving for the following year during the Thanksgiving season.

Legacy giving

Planned giving ensures First Baptist’s reach to the future. You can include the church in your estate planning

• with a bequest in your will
• via trusts and annuities
• with gifts of stock, real estate, property

You can choose how First Baptist’s future will benefit from your bequest, or your gifts can be undesignated, for important current needs.
